The diversity of the workforce in an organization varies from person to person. Includes race, gender, ethnic group, age, personality, cognitive style, length of service, organizational performance, education, background, and more.   The competitiveness and success of an organization depend on its ability to embrace diversity and reap its benefits. When the diversity issues of the organization's workforce are actively assessed and the diversity plans are formulated and implemented, the company reaps many multiple benefits.(Vivian et al,2015)

Companies that diversify their workforce have several major advantages over companies that do not diversify their workforce, including:

Increasing adaptability:

Organizations employing a diversified workforce can provide a variety of solutions to service, resource, and resource allocation issues. Employees from different backgrounds bring personal skills and experience in proposing flexible ideas according to fluctuating markets and customer demands.

According to a McKinsey study, a diversified workforce has 95% more return on shares than U.S. public companies with homogenized boards with executive boards (Hanks, 2018).

Better ideas and more innovations

Different cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs all come together to find unexpected answers in other situations. As a result, Company will understand its diverse customer base and be able to innovate and market more effectively to customers.

The difference is to attract businesses

Recruiting top talent and attracting the best customers and suppliers can go a long way in showcasing the diversity of the organization. Most people want to be part of an organization that feels they are doing well and respects them personally.

Customers also want to buy from businesses that share their values. When your organization embodies many things that people trust, it is much easier to attract loyal and consistent customers.

High productivity

It is estimated that the productivity of a variety of companies is 1.3 times greater than their low diversity. When diversity reaches high management, productivity doubles as less than in diversified businesses. We're not sure what this is, and we think it may be related to some of the things we've touched on recently. Features such as better innovation, better incentives for people to do business with you, and a more open and inclusive workspace all contribute to increasing productivity and earnings.

Different perspectives:

A diverse workforce that feels easy to communicate with from different perspectives provides a large pool of ideas and experiences. From that pool, the organization can access business strategy needs and customer needs more effectively. In research-oriented and hi-tech industries, the broad base of talents generated by a gender-and ethnic- diverse organization becomes a priceless advantage. “Creativity thrives on diversity” (Morgan, 1989)

In a growing global market, a multicultural organization is best suited to serve a variety of external clients. Such organizations have a better understanding of the legal, political, social, economic and cultural environments of foreign nations.(Adler, 1991).
